Child Passenger Safety Week offers valuable reminder

Knowing how to install and use a car seat correctly is one of the many valuable skills a parent must learn. Car seats and boosters help to protect babies, infants and young children in the event of a crash. Unfortunately, nearly half of all child safety seats are installed incorrectly, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Let’s all work to change that statistic. Sept. 19-25 is Child Passenger Safety Week, and it provides a great reminder for anyone with a youngster in their life to check those car seats and booster seats to make sure they’re installed properly.
